Plastic bathroom panelling is easy to install and no special tools are required. All you need for installation is a silicone gun, a screw gun or screw driver, a saw and a spirit level. Plastic panels are light weight and can easy be installed by a single person. Plastic board come in a range of lengths and sizes but are typically long length about 600mm wide with a visible area or 500mm. With plastic panels being light weight and narrow allot of board are required if you have a large area to cover, this means there are allot of joins and the potential for more leaks. Plastic board are also not very strong and can be easy damaged or punctured, ie with door handles or swinging doors or shower screens. Even a hand knock from and elbow could damage a board or flew and break the seal. Many plastic boards can also be easy scratched.
